Using this time wisely for your business.

Using this time wisely for your business.

Businesses in cities all across the country have been ordered to close or limit business in some way and some aren’t sure what to do next. While it’s difficult to be optimistic at a time like this, it’s important to stay positive and keep moving forward.

I’m seeing great things from even the smallest of businesses, from restaurants ramping up their take-out menu to fitness trainers making their online programs and classes available for free to help us while social distancing. What’s great is that it’s not limited to small business, as even companies like Uber Eats are waiving delivery fees, which helps keep people in their homes without taking as much of a financial hit, but also sends business to restaurants who might not be able to stay open otherwise.

The wedding divisions of my company (Grindstone Weddings & Pixel Love Films) are offering live streaming for couples who have already paid for their marriage license and want to go ahead with their ceremony. Live streaming allows their friends and family to share the joy, even though they aren’t able to attend. Many are planning their reception at a later date to celebrate with everyone.

For other businesses that are affected, we’re working with several businesses in our area to keep the flow of business as steady as possible, even though that may look different than usual. For some of our customers, we’re updating menus and making them accessible online and for others, we’re creating or updating websites, including two e-commerce stores. Now is a great time to work on blogs and articles to help boost your SEO.

This week, several events have been cancelled or postponed, including church services. To help with this, we’re offering live-streaming for churches, live music performances, keynote presentations and more. An added value of the live broadcast is that the video is available for viewers after the event as well, publicly, privately or on-demand. If your content isn’t time sensitive, we can work with you to create a single presentation or a library of valuable content that will serve your business and audience for years to come.

Regardless of how your business is affected by Covid-19, it’s important to remember that we’ll make it through this. Rather than using your energy to worry, channel it into thinking of ways to help your customers and community. #CommunityOverCompetition
