ONE MOVING TOUR.
Creating an episodic content run while the story, locations, people, and schedule were constantly moving.
Grindstone Creative joined Orchid Euro’s 2019 Wörthersee Tour to produce photo and video content for Volkswagen of America, working alongside brand managers and enthusiast experience specialists throughout the trip.
The itinerary moved through museum visits, private factory tours, enthusiast gatherings, drives, and Wörthersee itself. Each stop had to become its own story, often with a finished deliverable needed the same day or twice in a single day.
Production extended beyond filming. Deliverables moved through brand and legal review, revisions were turned quickly, and approved content was uploaded directly to YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook while the tour continued.
That made the project an exercise in adaptability: finding the narrative in real time, capturing the details needed to support it, editing on the road, and adjusting future coverage based on what the approval process required.

THE WORKFLOW
BUILT TO MOVE
There was no controlled set and no fixed production day. The workflow had to travel with the tour, turning whatever happened next into usable, reviewable, publishable content.

Stay with the moving itinerary and identify the story available at each stop, drive, gathering, or unexpected moment.

CAPTURE
Film the people, cars, locations, interviews, and supporting details needed to create a complete episode from the day’s experience.

TURN
Edit on the road and shape the footage into concise episodic deliverables while the next part of the tour is already underway.

APPROVE
Move each piece through brand and legal review, make revisions, and publish approved content directly to the required platforms.
